Comedy pays. Dave Chappelle revealed to the world that he is officially coming back to stand-up in the fashion of three new comedy specials. At first it was uncertain as far as how much Chappelle will be receiving but we are seeing that not he and Rock have a similar deal of $ 20 Million dollar per special deals. Page Six recently shared that Chappelle is expected to be receiving a total of $ 60 Million for his three specials.
Dave Chappelle landed a huge deal at Netflix — said to be worth up to $ 60 million — following his hit “SNL” hosting debut. The stand-up comic has three specials planned for the streaming giant, it was announced on Monday. Two hail from Chappelle’s personal archive, while a third will be produced for Netflix. The shows will be released simultaneously next year, and will be Chappelle’s first specials in 12 years. The deal is the talk of the media industry. One insider said: “Dave was offered $ 20 million a special. Netflix basically has a war chest for this kind of content. Whether it’s a loss or not, Dave Chappelle’s specials will get a lot of press and bring in new subscribers.”
