When Hannibal Buress stopped by The Breakfast Club this week he may have revealed what his role we’ll be apart of the newest Spiderman. UPROXX went on to point out that Buress could be playing a coach at Peter Parker’s (Spider Man) high school in the film.
We were psyched to hear Hannibal Buress was signed on to Spider-Man: Homecoming, but we had no idea where he would fit into a packed cast which already included Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Zendaya Coleman, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, and a whole bunch of other actors and comedians you may know. Now Buress has explained his role, which seems to confirm an older rumor. Buress revealed the character details at the end of his interview with 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club on Tuesday. He plays a coach at Peter Parker’s high school, Midtown Science and Technology School, and he’s humorously clueless about Parker’s abilities. As Buress says 31:50 into this video, “I play one of the dumbass characters who don’t realize he’s Spider-Man. He’s Peter Parker. I’m just like, ‘Oh man, this guy’s really athletic!’”
