  1. bottom line. all beyonce has going for her is looks, a bad body, and an industry machine that devotes itself to the illusion that she’s the best thing going today through overexposure. after all that, there’s nothing there. she does not have the talent, creativity, originality, groundbreaking body of work–i could go on–to back it up. michael jackson had instant classics–just to start with–that, no matter how much they were played it to death, never got old. beyonce gets real old real quick.

  2. I understand that Beyonce is his wife….but what retard, lol. If there was a second coming of MJ, I would think its Janet.

Beyonce has talent, no doubt, but shes not the “second coming”

Plus, I dont think there are any artists that are more “global” than MJ. The Beatles are the only ones that really come to mind in regards to how popular an artist/group can get…

  3. nobody is trying to mimic beyonce or do her dance moves! all beyonces moves are copied from oher artist like mj janet britney , fosse , and africans!

  4. michael jackson is the greastest of all time no one come ciose because he stared it if it was not for him there will not be a beyonce ps duke

  5. @yescandles I respect that. After all, with the level of fame that both Elvis and MJ experience, it would be quite hard to prove who was actually more famous. We would essentially have to define more? Still, I think I give Michael the advantage, because of his global appeal and reach into tiny villages, where people have very little knowledge of pop stars from the U.S. His impact has been recognized by presidents, Kings, and other world organizations. I don’t believe Elvis’s impact was that wide

  6. @Darslow Like I said….I loved Michael, but he was not bigger than Elvis to “me”. Elvis started the stampeding….in a day and time when people were more reserved and collected. When you think of who was “on top” prior to Elvis, it was like “The King” came from a different planet. I remember when Elvis’s helicopter landed at the Astrodome in Houston, it was like the second coming of Christ. People went INSANE. I have seen lots of people bleeding, crying, fainting trying to get to Elvis.

  7. @yescandles Now that’s funny as hell. Elvis was huge, but I think MJ edged him out on worldwide appeal. I haven’t seen any Elvis footage of people stampeding over one another just to get a glimpse of him. People allowed themselves to be dragged by cars and they stayed up all night or slept outside of MJ’s hotel for days hoping they would get to see him. I’m not saying that kind of fame is all that. Obviously Michael eventually couldn’t handle it, but Elvis was not MJ famous.

  8. @DizShaWTYcrUNK I grew up watching Michael Jackson and believe you me, I heard people all over the world talk about him like you said Fallon talked about Beyonce. She’s great. I’m not saying she sucks. I think she is the best to do it currently, but not overall. There are too many artists before her time who have done it better IMHO (i.e., MJ, Tina Turner, Prince, Janet – although Janet’s not that great of a singer).

  9. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Well, she is doing ok. I like Bey, but she’s no Michael Jackson. You said his invincible album wasn’t that popular and I agree with that, but just think about it, the thing still sold 13 million copies and didn’t have any promotion beside the rock my world video. What other artist is capable of doing that? Beyonce selling out in 22 seconds is understandable considering that the venue was only a 3500 seat capacity. Didn’t Janet Jackson already do that?

  10. That’s his wife what you think he’s going say?

  11. @Darslow the media makes it seem like her album isnt doing well but it was #1 and i think its doing great. she sold out 4 shows in 22 seconds so she isnt flopping yet. i think her albums keep getting better. i think mj inspired her to make that universal sound music (run the world, end of time) i love it! it was a risk but to me she pulled it off.

  12. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Yeah! That album was ok. Definitely wasn’t his best work. Beyonce isn’t doing that hot either though. I expected 4 to bring the fire. I really use to stan for Beyonce during the DIL era, but she just lost me for some reason after that. Something changed and I just couldn’t go in that direction.

  13. @Darslow yes, the only hit i know on there was “you rock my world” which i believe was mjs last best song. when was that in 1998 or 2001?

  14. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Which last album are you referring to? Invincible?

  15. @Darslow she performed at the roseland ballroom where fred aistaire ginger rogers madonna rolling stones performed at which made that place famous n gave it its history. mjs last album wasnt that popular, we havent heard much from him in the last 10 years. i feel bey can keep ppls attn until the end of time.

  16. @Darslow yes michael was all of those things but i believe beyonce is the best artist that ever lived. at award shows they keep reminding us how special she is and what she means to the industry. on jimmy falon a few nights ago he exclaimed that the one and only beyonce is here and that he loved her said shes the greatest and is a true superstar. you dont hear anyone talking about anyone like that except beyonce.

  17. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Last time I listened to an MJ song was a few hours ago. In fact, I listened to the whole damn dangerous album twice. It’s only a classic that sold over 32 millions copies. And, I’ll tell you what MJ had that Beyonce doesn’t have – LOVE. He loved people, the planet, and animals. Before the world became too much for him, he was always about charity and humility. Fortunately, his humility remained. You could see his humbleness in the way that he dressed and talked to people.

  18. @DizShaWTYcrUNK It may be people’s opinions that MJ was the greatest artist of all time, but its hundreds of millions of people’s opinions. Not just a few artists here and there who are closely connected to each other. Beyonce doesn’t have to compete with past artists. She should just blaze her own trail. That’s all I’m saying.

  19. Just think about this… When MJ’s dangerous album was about to be released, some fools raided the LAX airport and stole over 30,000 copies of the album. When somebody wants to steal Beyonce’s album without pirating it on from the internet, then come back and talk to me. She’s probably on Janet Jackson’s level. I doubt that she has had as much impact as Tina Turner. I don’t know what Jay-Z was trying to accomplish, but he put his foot in his mouth on this one. What an idiot.

  20. i dont think she’s is the second coming of anyone… i feel like there would be a second coming of BEYONCE maybe…

  21. @Marc82193 Yes, mj was inspired by the charleston dance also. he did not invent that.

  22. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Where are your comprehension skills? Where in my posts did I ever say that Beyonce couldn’t be the next MJ? Exactly. Lol, old people music (true, true). All I’m saying chica is that the reason people will never give Beyonce that title is because she alienates a whole entire sex with her music. She’s all about girl power and many men can’t relate (for obvious reasons, lol). Michael Jackson wasn’t. Can we expect men to embrace her when she, in her music (not all songs), cant them?

  23. @simplydenali why isnt mj ur fav artist? are you 17? wow ur so young listenin to old ppl music lol my point is, why does mj have to be put on a pedestal. its not a fact that hes the best artist, its just ppls opinions. men dont want bey to be the next mj bcuz shes a woman, then we have whts not wantin mj to be king cuz hes blk. i just dont like how ppl knock eachothers comments out when we all have a ear for different music. and bey is aware that shes competing with past artists.

  24. @DizShaWTYcrUNK Sade (#1) & Tupac (#2). What does this have to do with anything out of curiosity?

  25. No one compares to Michael and no there wont be another. He loved everyone and told us in his actions and his music.
